ELAO: more than just a language test
For over 15 years, ELAO has been supporting universities, companies and institutions with the fast, reliable and precise assessment of language skills.
Our placement test is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), but goes even further:
Addition of sub-levels for each CEFR level, for more detailed measurement.
Integration of an A0 level, essential for identifying true beginners.
Availability in 6 major languages: English, French, Spanish, Dutch, German and Italian.
In just 30 to 40 minutes, you obtain a detailed profile of your students’ or employees’ level, allowing for fairer placement and better pedagogical orientation.
New in 2025: proctoring with Mereos
Because the reliability of results is crucial, this year we have introduced a major new feature: proctoring in partnership with Mereos.
In practice, Mereos makes it possible to:
Verify the candidate’s identity and environment (via webcam and ID).
Monitor digital activity (second screen detection, blocked tabs, restricted navigation).
Ensure smooth surveillance, with no installation required, fully adapted to higher education.
